If Swan Lake unlocks the gates to the ballet kingdom for many, Alvin Ailey's Revelations does the same for modern dance. Revelations, set to traditional American spirituals, is one of the most sincere and exhilarating explorations of faith and human emotions expressed in dance. Explore how Ailey, who choreographed works in both ballet and modern dance, made a work so simple yet with so many layers of meaning. Please Note: Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater does not participate in this session.
