But thousands of story-lovers know this gifted tale-spinner from her appearances at folk festivals and theaters across the country. A descendant of John Ross, Principal Chief of the Cherokee Nation during the infamous "Trail of Tears," Gayle Ross brings her trickster tales and Native American legends to us directly from a family rich in history and tradition.
