About
Combining the physical comedy of vaudeville, the grace of dance,
the illusion of mime, and the depth of good storytelling, North
Carolina’s colorful performance troupe Silent Partners create
“movement theater” that both challenges and entertains. In
Fables, based on a series of narrated stories by Arnold Loebel,
the actors use large puppet masks, unusual costumes, and
inventive props to transform themselves into camels, bears,
hippos, and kangaroos—and to teach young people valuable
lessons about self-esteem and respect for others.
Recommended for ages 5 and up
