About
For more than 10 years, beginning with its first concert in
Jerusalem, this vibrant chamber music quartet has been proving
just how fun the genre can be with its one-of-a-kind youthful
exuberance and riveting performances. The group's four young
superstars, all still in their twenties, have already established
an international reputation as one of the most interesting and
dynamic quartets of their generation. Students of the late Isaac
Stern and the Amadeus String Quartet, they are winners of the
Jerusalem Academy Chamber Music and Schubert Competitions and
are currently Quartet-in-Residence at The Royal Academy of Music
in London. They last performed at the Kennedy Center in 1998
during the Art of the State: Israel at 50 festival, and are
renowned for their "impeccable blend [and] fiery sweetness.
Since they formed in 1993, their career has been a triumphal
ascent" (London’s The Daily Telegraph).
