About
Vocalist and songwriter Lorraine Feather is no stranger to Café
Society. In her early years, she lived above New York's famed
club Café Society Downtown and her father Leonard Feather
conducted its many jam sessions. JazzTimes says she
"emerges as a true original" on her recent CD Café
Society, which features classic jazz works set to her
own lyrics. She joins the multi-talented Shelly Berg, "a
whirlwind of motion on the piano bench" whose hard-bop stylings
"leave the crowd breathless" (The Los Angeles Times).
