conductor Valery Gergiev and producer/director
Victor Kramer. Chronicling the rise
and fall of the notorious Tsar, this
epic tale of religious revolution, mysterious
imposters, and murderous deception combines
one of the greatest baritone roles in
the operatic repertory with thunderous
choral movements of unprecedented power.
