About
Commemorating the exact 30th anniversary of its ensemble debut at President Carter's 1977 Inauguration, this close-knit trio is comprised of three internationally renowned musicians: Fortas Artistic Director Joseph Kalichstein, and husband and wife Jaime Laredo and Sharon Robinson. As part of its special anniversary program, the group will perform the Washington premiere of a piano quartet composed by Richard Danielpour. Joining them for this new work will be young violist Kirsten Johnson, winner of the 1997 Washington International Strings Competition hosted at the Kennedy Center.
