Rejoice in the long tradition of chamber music for the human voice with this recital by Grammy Award winner Christine Brewer, whose "lustrous throat…pins (you) to (your) seat and threatens to demolish the walls" (The Sunday Times, London), accompanied by pianist Craig Rutenberg. Singing a selection of songs that span composers from classic to contemporary, Brewer's world-class stature as an opera star and recitalist are on glittery display. This concert is part of the America Sings Festival, presented in cooperation with the Vocal Arts Society in celebration of the genius, originality, and diversity of vocal music created in America.
