Superstar violinist Midori may be Japanese by birth, but through her American education and training, her talent is largely made in the U.S.A. Furthermore, her contributions to the next generation of musicians in America through her organizations Music Sharing, Partners in Performance, and the Orchestra Residency Program make her an ideal participant in Chamber Music Across America.
Midori, alongside performing friends Nobuko Imai on viola, Antoine Lederlin on cello, and Jonathan Biss on piano, perform in a concert that brings together great works from across chamber music's classical canon, culminating in Dvorák's striking Piano Quartet No. 2. These four players show that America's musical talent is not all native-born. Like the country itself, our musical strength lies in a rich history of cultural cross-pollination.
