Vocalist Milton Suggs has been described by DownBeat as a "commanding jazz vocalist" with a "mellifluous baritone." A few years ago, Suggs was a piano student working on his master's degree at DePaul University when Wynton Marsalis heard him singing with the school's big band. Impressed, Marsalis encouraged Suggs to take his singing seriously.
