Vocalist Catherine Russell returns following her show-stopping appearance at the 2010 Mary Lou Williams Women in Jazz Festival, to perform her signature blend of jazz, blues, R&B, and soul in the intimate setting of the KC Jazz Club. As Nat Hentoff of the Wall Street Journal has remarked, "it's a delight to hear the real thing in Catherine Russell." She has toured the world, performing and recording with Paul Simon, David Bowie, Steely Dan, Cyndi Lauper, Jackson Browne, Michael Feinstein, Levon Helm, and Rosanne Cash, among others.
