Blue Note at 75 Celebration
The Kennedy Center celebrates the 75th anniversary of Blue Note Records, the Finest in Jazz Since 1939, with some of the iconic label's most notable musicians in this jazz extravaganza featuring a week of mainstage concerts as well as some of its newest artists in free Millennium Stage performances. Related lectures, film screenings, photo exhibits, and more will be held at other locations in Washington, D.C., in collaborative events hosted by the Library of Congress, the Goethe-Institut, and the German Historical Institute.
