NSO Ensemble Connections: Science and Music
For ages 9 and above

Music and science may be two very different classes in school, but in this revealing concert, you'll find that the two are closely connected--and you'll hear those connections as you learn the answers to many questions. When do musicians use science? Why do scientists study music? And what exactly is music, scientifically speaking? NSO cellist Yvonne Caruthers and an ensemble of NSO musicians explore with you in this multimedia performance that touches acoustics, medicine, computer science, psychology--and, of course, music!
