John Adams will preface his performance of the Doctor Atomic Symphony by introducing a brief screening of Gerald Finley singing "Batter My Heart," a powerfully emotional aria that closes Act I of the opera Doctor Atomic, and that is featured in the orchestral version of the symphony.
