About

No one can play a room quite like singer/comedian/improv artist extraordinaire Wayne Brady (Whose Line Is It Anyway? and The Wayne Brady Show), but there were a couple of singers who helped pave his way in the entertainment biz… two guys named Sammy. From vaudeville to venerable Rat Pack Vegas legend, vocalist Sammy Davis Jr. cracked smiles and jokes with the best of them. Meanwhile Sam Cooke helped make soul and R&B the national sensations they remain today. Now Wayne Brady, with a little help from the NSO Pops and Principal Pops Conductor Steven Reineke, pays tribute to the Sammys with a musical look back at their biggest hits and groundbreaking moves.
