Language is one of the world's most perplexing puzzles. It can be different from country to country and even person to person. But musical works have a language that everyone can understand! Join NSO cellist Yvonne Caruthers as she hosts a program linking music to the world of language, featuring two musicians from the National Symphony Orchestra and guest artists.
 
Connections: MORE Language and Music is a fast-paced, zany multimedia program where letters of the alphabet = musical notes; sentences = musical phrases; and poetic rhymes = musical rhythms. With a nod to modern freestyle poetry events, the performances end with an exciting re-enactment of a famous 19th century musical "slam." Don't miss it! For age 9 and up.
