Steven Reineke, conductor
She's "the musical theater dynamo with the long legs and cheery smile," says the Washington Post. And the New York Times raves: "her triple mastery of words, music, and moves is unmatched by any performer on Broadway at the moment." Famed for portraying the indomitable leading lady in the revival of Anything Goes--and for originating roles in such hit musicals as Thoroughly Modern Millie, Shrek the Musical, and Young Frankenstein--two-time Tony Award winner Sutton Foster joins the NSO Pops over Thanksgiving weekend. Following her participation in last fall's Kennedy Center American Voices festival and her 2011 concert as part of Barbara Cook's Spotlight series, Foster now headlines her own Concert Hall program, in which she'll perform selections from her Broadway hits and more with special guest vocalists Joshua Henry and Megan McGinnis.
Performance Timing: Approximately 2 hours, with one 15-minute intermission.
Note: After the NSO Pops concert Saturday, Nov. 29, Sutton Foster will sign various CDs and materials in the Grand Foyer outside of the Concert Hall.
