This exciting, live performance and multimedia program highlights the history of women in jazz from the early 20th century through present-day. Included is discussion about composers, arrangers, instrumentalists, and vocalists such as Billie Holiday, Sarah Vaughan, Toshiko Akiyoshi, Mary Lou Williams, Carla Bley, Sarah Vaughan, and others. She Said/She Says is an inspiring program that celebrates the virtuosity, integrity, and tenacity of some of the many women who have dedicated their lives to jazz. Produced by JazzReach, a New York based non-profit organization for the promotion, creation, teaching, and performance of jazz music.
