From Fairmont Street to U Street, from the Howard Theatre to the Bohemian Caverns, hear firsthand the story of jazz in DC. The Kennedy Center's Artistic Director for Jazz, Dr. Billy Taylor grew up in DC and went to college in Virginia. Sax and flute master Frank Wess spent his teen years in the District and graduated from Howard University. Join these two luminaries as they share memories of growing up in the nation's capital, their musical coming of age, and the people and places that are indelibly linked to the world of jazz.  Part of Jazz in DC
