The legendary Emerson String Quartet will perform seven of Dmitri Shostakovich's masterful string quartets, Nos. 9 through 15, as part of the Fortas Chamber Music Concerts (Nov. 5 & 6).  To introduce you to these works and place them in context alongside the composer's other works, National Symphony Orchestra cellist Yvonne Caruthers presents a musical-visual lecture.
Note: The Emerson String Quartet does not perform in this event.
