Back by popular demand! The Ballet 360° lecture series continues its in-depth look at ballet with this season's sessions focusing on some of the form's iconic choreographers. In this session, dance critic Alexandra Tomalonis uses video of well-known ballets to introduce you to the work of ballet legend Frederick Ashton.
Alexandra Tomalonis has been a dance critic for nearly 30 years, writing frequently for the Washington Post, Dance Magazine, and other publications. She is the editor of DanceView magazine, and its online review supplement, and the author of Henning Kronstam: Portrait of a Danish Dancer, a biography of one of the great stars and later director of The Royal Danish Ballet. Ms. Tomalonis also teaches ballet history, aesthetics, and related courses at the Kirov Academy of Ballet of Washington, D.C.
