About
Join us for a special screening of concert footage from Ella Fitzgerald's career. Dubbed "The First Lady of Song," Ella Fitzgerald was the most popular female jazz singer in the United States for more than half a century. She sold more than 40 million albums, received 13 Grammy Awards, and won praise from numerous composers and contemporaries alike, from Richard Rodgers to Frank Sinatra. The screening will be followed by a discussion with jazz artists Dr. Billy Taylor, Richard Seidel, Janis Siegel, and Dee Dee Bridgewater.
