About

Left Bank Concert Society salutes the Kennedy Center's festival- A New America-the 1940s and the Arts. Both native-born citizens and immigrants played a vital role in the chamber music of this dynamic decade, as you will hear in the works of Carter, Copland, Diamond, Hovhaness, and Korngold. Five decades earlier, Dvorák celebrated his sojourn in this country with the composition of his radiant Quintet in E Flat Major. Pianist Audrey Andrist, trumpeter Chris Gekker, oboist Mark Hill, and members of the Left Bank Quartet perform.
