About
The season's opening triple bill features Septime Webre's smoldering Carmen. This passion-filled portrayal of its feisty title character is set to Bizet's spirited score and complemented by Picasso-inspired designs. Also on the program: The Company premiere of Twyla Tharp's snappy and playfully agressive Nine Sinatra Songs, set to the swank sounds of Ol' Blue Eyes and bedecked in costumes by Oscar de la Renta; plus Balanchine's sweeping, intricately musical Serenade.
