Washington's "New Year's Tradition, Salute to Vienna" returns to the Kennedy Center for the 8th consecutive year with another outstanding live performance.
Featuring a brand new cast and new program, highlights of the show include the sensational Waltzes, Polkas and Marches by the Waltz King Johann Strauss Jr. in a glorious live New Year's celebration. Led by Viennese Maestro Klaus Arp, the program will feature famous Operetta excerpts from Die Fledermaus and Merry Widow sung by outstanding Polish soprano Katarzyna Dondalska and famous tenor Otoniel Gonzaga. Brilliant dancers from the National Ballet of Hungary will perform the Viennese Waltz live on stage in beautiful costumes.
Recognized by the City of Vienna as the only Official Recreation of Vienna's World Famous New Year's Concert, Salute to Vienna is a feast of music, song and dance!
