Young opera hopefuls perform in the 2007 Middle Atlantic Region Finals of the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions, for the chance to advance to New York to compete on the Met stage against winners from other parts of the country for prize money and consideration for the Lindemann Young Artist Development Program.  Each Regional Finalist will sing two or more arias for a panel of three judges headed by a member of the artistic staff of the Metropolitan Opera.  Many Middle Atlantic Finalists are now on the rosters of the Metropolitan Opera and Washington National Opera.
