Libretto by Montagu Slater
With its haunting, appealing score and profound psychological insight, Britten's tale of the outcast
fisherman Peter Grimes has become the most performed 20th-century British opera in the international
repertoire. Christopher Ventris, Patricia Racette, and Alan Held head the cast, under the baton of
Maestro Ilan Volkov.
Performed in English with English supertitles.
NOTE: Supertitles are not visible from the rear orchestra.
The performance runs approximately 3 hours, with two 20-minute intermissions.
Single tickets are on sale at the KC box office.
