About
"Music as Narrative"
Schoenberg's poignant setting of betrayal and redemption anchors a collection of colorful pieces from
American composers of our times, among them the venerable Elliott Carter, two days after his 100th
birthday celebration. Soprano Linda Mabbs and pianist Audrey Andrist join the Left Bank Quartet
(David Salness and Sally McLain, violins, Katherine Murdock, viola, and Evelyn Elsing, cello) and friends.
The performance runs approximately two hours, including one 20-minute intermission.
