About
Irish tenor Robin Tritschler graduated from the Royal Irish Academy of Music and the Royal Academy of Music, London. In 2006 he won the lieder prize at the prestigious International Vocal Competition held in the Dutch city of ‘s-Hertogenbosch. He has appeared in recital and in concert in Europe and the U.S., and joined the Welsh National Opera as a principal artist in 2008. Mr. Tritschler will perform the beloved Schubert song-cycle Die Schöne Müllerin.
Graham Johnson is recognized as one of the world's leading vocal accompanists who has performed with such distinguished singers as Sir Thomas Allen, Arleen Auger, Ian Bostridge, Matthias Goerne, Thomas Hampson, Simon Keenlyside, Angelika Kirchschlager, and Dorothea Röschmann, among others. Johnson, who has created a record-breaking set of 37 recordings of the whole of Schubert's song output, will introduce the cycle in his own charming manner.
Performance Timing: 60 minutes, with no intermission.
