Austrian baritone Florian Boesch has established himself as one of the leading lied interpreters of his generation and has performed in the world's major recital halls--Vienna, Salzburg, London, Edinburgh, New York, and Tokyo. His interpretation of Schubert's Die Winterreise has been widely acclaimed. He is also successful in concert and opera. Boesch has appeared in the title roles of Wozzeck and Don Giovanni in the past year and was presented with the renowned Russian ‘Golden Mask' award for his Papageno in Moscow. Mr. Boesch will be joined by the noted accompanist Roger Vignoles in an all-German program that includes Liederkreis and selected other songs by Schumann, and extracts from Schubert's Schwanengesang with six poems by Heinrich Heine as the text source.
