Having catapulted to success since winning the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions in 2007, American tenor Michael Fabiano has gone from strength to strength at the Met, Milan's La Scala, English National Opera, and San Francisco Opera, and made a notable recital debut last year as part of the prestigious Harriman-Jewell Series in Missouri. After capturing exceptional notices in the Met's HD transmission of Otello opposite Renée Fleming this season, he will return to the Met in 2013-2014 for a new production of Die Fledermaus. The program will include selections by Donizetti, Toscanini, Puccini, Massenet, Verdi, Duparc, and Richard Strauss.
"He sings with effortless beauty of tone, and an exquisite sense of line." (The Guardian, London)
Performance Timing: Part One - 42 min.; Intermission - 20 min.; Part Two - 40 min.
