Praised by critics as "...Ms. Choue has just about everything--technical brilliance, intelligence, poetry, poise, artful programming, and a beautiful stage presence" (New York Concert Review), pianist Hee-Youn Choue made her concerto debut at age thirteen in her native South Korea with the Korean Symphony Orchestra performing Mendelssohn's Piano Concerto No.1. As a part of the Emerging Artists Recital Series presented by New York Concert Artists & Associates, Ms. Choue made her Carnegie recital debut at Weill Recital Hall. Since her New York debut, Ms. Choue has returned for another recital at Merkin Concert Hall at the Kaufman Center. Ms. Choue has been performing nationally and internationally at such festivals as the Gabala in Azerbajian. For her Washington debut recital, Ms. Choue will present works by Haydn, Schumann, Chopin and Tchaikovsky/Pletnev.
