Goldoni's 18th century classic gets a vibrant new life in this "sparkling, wonder-filled new version" that was pronounced "a smash hit...and an evening to cherish" (The Daily Mail) when the play opened in Stratford, England in February 2000. The production's deft handling of the split-second timing required for this ancient art got rave reviews.
