About
A veteran of the stage, Hollywood, and television whom Broadway critic John Simon calls "one of the very few utterly graceful, attractive, elegant, and technically accomplished actresses in our theater," Holland Taylor brings the audience face to face with a complex, colorful, and captivating character. According to the Dallas Morning News, when Richards's daughter Cecile learned the actress would portray her mother in a new play, she offered an instant judgment: "Perfect."
The San Antonio Express raved, "It was as if Ann, with her silver helmet of hair, gleaming white suit, and strong swagger, were suddenly raised from the dead." More than that, Taylor channels Ann's razor-sharp wit to tell this heartfelt story of a personal hero, a leader who actually believed she could empower, expand, and enrich the lives of her constituents.
Performance Timing: Act One - 60 min.; Intermission - 15 min.; Act Two - 50 min.
