Working together, CVS Caremark All Kids Can and VSA are expanding the role of the arts in inclusive education by working toward improving the lives and learning of young people with disabilities through a joint yearlong program. Each year, VSA issues a nationwide call for art through VSA state affiliates that encourages children and youth to share their creativity. This year's theme, State of the Art, asked children to consider the roles they play within their communities. The resulting exhibition features one artwork from every state and the District of Columbia. All submissions are included in an online gallery. The exhibition debuts in Washington, D.C., and will tour nationally for two years.
This event is free. For more information, go to VSA's All Kids Can page or call (202) 628-2800.
