Turning Point, a presentation of staged readings of new Irish short plays by artists with disabilities, was commissioned and developed specially for the festival by VSA affiliate Arts & Disability Ireland and Fishamble: The New Play Company. The plays, focusing on the theme of change, provide a platform for a range of dynamic and fresh Irish voices. Fishamble is an award-winning, internationally acclaimed company, dedicated to the discovery, development, and production of new work for the Irish and international stage. Arts & Disability Ireland is a national arts development organization striving to promote cultural equality and the engagement of people with disabilities in the arts at the highest level--as artists, performers, participants, audience, advisors, and employees.
