About

Washington Performing Arts Society
Star Series
Simone Dinnerstein, piano

American pianist Simone Dinnerstein is a searching and inventive artist who is motivated by a desire to find the musical core of every work she approaches. The New York-based pianist gained an international following with the remarkable success of her 2007 recording of Bach's Goldberg Variations. In addition to a performance schedule that takes her around the world, Ms. Dinnerstein is interested in exploring ways to subtly change the traditional concert experience.

"An utterly distinctive voice in the forest of Bach interpretation" (The New York Times).

Performance Timing: Part One - 41 min.; Intermission - 18 min.; Part Two - 49 min.
