About

Adapted from Miguel de Cervantes's Don Quixote
Conception, direction, and scenario by Stacy Klein
Created with Carlos Uriona and Matthew Glassman
Music by Justin Handley

Shadow puppets…  tightrope artists... and incredible acrobatic spectacle! New England's Double Edge Theatre brings its dynamic adaptation of Miguel de Cervantes's novel Don Quixote to the Kennedy Center. Featuring artists from the U.S. and abroad, this exhilarating performance fuses live original music with popular and circus arts, including aerial theater, puppetry, stilts, and commedia dell'arte. As errant knight Don Quixote seeks to escape the confines of his daunting reality, the UnPOSSESSED captures all of his chivalrous adventures through imagery praised as "visual poetry" by the New York Times. This unconventional aesthetic is a trademark of the company's rural performance colony called The Farm, which celebrates its 10th anniversary in 2007 as an "artist's think tank" and center for international cultural exchange.
