Viol player Jordi Savall, one of the major figures in the field of early music, directs and plays in his program El Nuevo Mundo: Folías Criollas (From the Old Spain to the New World). He is joined by soprano Montserrat Figueras, his vocal ensemble Capella Reial de Catalunya, his instrumental chamber ensemble Hespèrion XXI, and Mexican chamber group Tembembe Ensamble Continuo.
