A satirical comedy on politics and prostitution, which stars Shabana Azmi, Naseeruddin Shah, and Smita Patil, Mandi is based on a classic Urdu short story, Aanandi, by the Pakistani writer Ghulam Abbas. The film tells the story of a brothel situated in the heart of a city, an area that some politicians covet for its prime location. In Hindi with English subtitles.
