Chekhov International Theatre Festival
Formed in Moscow by award-winning British director Declan Donnellan of Cheek by Jowl under the auspices of the Chekhov International Theatre Festival, this company of Russian actors performs critically acclaimed versions of two classics of theater (See also Twelfth Night).
Three Sisters
Three sisters encounter love, lust, and compromise under the roof of their provincial homestead in Chekhov's classic play. In the playwright's characteristic style, he attempts to draw dramatic meaning from life's nuances. "A thrilling rediscovery of a great and familiar play" (The Sunday Times, London). Performed in Russian with English surtitles.
