To officially launch Shakespeare in Washington, Shakespeare Theatre Company artistic director Michael Kahn and Associate Director David Muse direct a staged reading of Twelfth Night. "If music be the food of love, play on." Shakespeare's celebrated comedy involves cross-dressing women, mistaken twins, and zany love sonnets.
This is a free event, no tickets required. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis.
Please note there is no free parking when attending free events.

Orsino (Duke of Illyria): Christopher Invarr
Valentine (gentleman attending on the Duke): Nick DePinto (Olney Theatre Center)
Curio (gentleman attending on the Duke): Tony Nam
First Officer (in the service of the Duke): Scott McCormick (Rorschach Theatre)
Second Officer (in the service of the Duke): Elliot Dash
Viola (later disguised as Cesario): Jennifer Dundas
Sebastian (her twin brother): Will Gartshore (Signature Theatre)
Captain of the wrecked ship (befriending Viola): Brian Hemmingsen (Washington Shakespeare Company)
