About

Since Kokichi Mikimoto succeeded in creating the world's first cultured pearl in July 1893, Mikimoto has been dedicated to presenting only the finest quality cultured pearls. In honor of the 150th anniversary of its founder's birth, Mikimoto is lending its rare collection of sash clips, or obidome, a sort of brooch worn on the front of the kimono. These exquisite pieces combine pearls of the highest quality with the intricate craftsmanship that has become the company's hallmark.
