About

From the Permanent Collection of the Jordan National Gallery of Fine Arts in Amman, Breaking the Veils crosses mediums, nationalities, and cultural norms to show the growing voice of women artists in the Islamic world. The Kennedy Center will create an exclusive installation using 29 paintings by the 26 Arab artists participating in the exhibit, currently on a U.S. tour.
