The Classical Brass

The members of the Classical Brass have been performing together for over 25 years. In the Washington area they are particularly well known for their radio broadcasts from the National Gallery of Art and their many Christmas performances at the National Cathedral. Over the years, they have shared their own brand of exciting brass chamber music throughout the United States, Europe, Japan and Australia. Their constant search for new and different music for brass quintet has led them in many directions including the acclaimed recording ôhonor to Our Soldiers,ö a CD of Civil War brass music performed on period instruments. Woodrow English, trumpet, attended the Interlochen Arts Academy and holds a bachelorÆs degree from Eastern Michigan University.
