Colonial Forge Mixed Madrigals

Music in Our Schools Month Outstanding Performer of 2002, the Colonial Forge Madrigals have received superior ratings at district for three years under the direction of Barbara Perry and go to festival for this year next week. The chorus also received first place mixed choir, first place show choir and best overall choir for the Music in the Parks 2001 competition in Hershey, Pennsylvania and first placed mixed choir and first place overall in the Florida Festival Competition in 2002. The Colonial Forge Madrigals and Select Choir have performed at community functions from Stafford County building dedications to professional fraternity gatherings. Each March, the Music Educators National Conference sponsors Music In Our Schools Month (MIOSM), a public outreach program designed to support school music programs. Colonial Forge Mixed Madrigals, outstanding regional performers from last year’s Music in Our Schools Month Celebration, will be joined by their show choir to round out a full day of local talent from the DC region’s music education programs.
