CON BRIO! Theatre Orchestra

CON BRIO! Theatre Orchestra Born in upstate New York, Shaughn Dowd began studying flute at age eight with her father as her first teacher. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Crane School of Music at Potsdam, New York, and has subsequently studied with Toshiko Kohno, principal flutist of the National Symphony Orchestra, and with Murray Panitz of the Philadelphia Orchestra. After moving to the Washington area, Ms. Dowd established CON BRIO! to fulfill her dream of performing chamber music for everyone to enjoy. Described as ôsparklingö by the Washington Post, CON BRIO! performs regularly throughout the Baltimore-Washington metropolitan area.
