Corps of Discovery, A Musical Journey

Corps of Discovery, A Musical Journey, is an artistic interpretation, 200 years later, of the significance of Lewis and Clark's expedition. The University of Missouri-Columbia has commissioned and is producing the musical drama as a commemorative event for the national bicentennial of the Lewis and Clark expedition. Located near the Lewis and Clark trail, MU is the first public land grant university in the former Louisiana Territory.MU Show-Me Opera has invited alumni to join with the university opera company for the performances. The world premiere of the three-act musical drama is set for May 2, 3 and 4, 2003, at the Missouri Theatre in Columbia, Mo.
