Los Danzaq de Ayacucho

Los Danzaq de Ayacucho The Scissors Dance is a one-on-one competition between dancers. It is a test of strength, agility, imagination and artistry. Each dancer must keep the peculiar Scissors rhythm going while, at the same time, his moves become increasingly more difficult and acrobatic. The dancers move through different phases in the dance until they reach the pruebas trials. Traditionally, the dance competition lasts 5 to 7 days, with the dancers stopping only to eat.
