Don Walser

Although long a favorite in Texas, Austin-born Don WalserÆs star has been growing nationally since 1994. Playboy Magazine dubbed him the ôPavarotti of the Plainsö and the Austin Chronicle proclaimed him ôThe Greatest Country Singer in the World.ö In 1994, at the age of 60, Walser retired from the Texas National Guard. After 45 years of service and an equal amount of time spent with his family, he changed careers, releasing his debut album on Watermelon Records, ôRolling Stone From Texas.ö Since that time Walser has been featured in the pages of Rolling Stone, Spin, BillboardUSA Today, , and many other publications.
